Black Friday Blues

Black Friday Blues

Soul's Notes (TL;DR): We truly want our cards to do good in the world while still being affordable for everyone. As such, we keep prices as low as possible at all times, which leaves no wiggle room for sales and this was done intentionally.

Happy Holidays! The season of giving is here and of course, I will shamelessly plug that it's the perfect time of year to send all your loved ones a greeting card that also plants trees ;).

As a Canadian, I will say that Black Friday was not really a thing here when I was a wee little girl and it has only morphed into the gargantuan sales event it is in recent years.

I wrote a previous blog post on how we price our cards -- my family didn't start this business with huge profit margins in mind, we truly wanted our cards to do good in the world while still being affordable for everyone. As such, we kept prices as low as possible to begin with, which leaves no wiggle room for sales... oops! Just kidding, this was done intentionally. We are not here to charge you more the rest of the year and then roll it back during sales events. We charge you the best price the first time, every time.

I believe that consumers are becoming more mindful of their purchases, which is fantastic news. This holiday season, remember that we all vote with our dollars and every shopping trip is an opportunity to support local artisans and small business owners. Your patronage is a gift you can give to those who deserve it the most! We hope we are on your list, too.

If you've made it this far, here's a sneak peek of one of our new designs debuting in the new year. This is one of my favourite designs (ever!), I hope you like it!
